From Sketch to Stitch: The Making of the UDAI Blazer

The Modern Uniform: Old Money Meets Streetwear

A piece of clothing is more than just fabric and thread; it’s a story. It begins with an idea—a sketch in a notebook, a feeling, a solution to a problem. For us, every UDAI garment starts with one question: “How will this make someone feel?”

This is the story of our Essential Blazer—a look behind the curtain at the process, the obsession with detail, and the journey from a simple concept to a timeless wardrobe staple.

The goal was clear: create a blazer that felt powerful without being rigid, classic without being dated. We started by deconstructing vintage menswear blazers, studying the way they created a strong shoulder line. We wanted to capture that authority but soften it for a modern, feminine silhouette. Our design process revolved around achieving the perfect “slouch”—a shoulder that is structured yet relaxed.

Shop The Look

True quality is found in the details you don’t always see. We obsessed over every element:

  • The Lining: A silky, breathable cupro lining, not a cheap polyester.

  • The Buttons: Real horn buttons, each with a unique pattern.

  • The Stitching: Reinforced, clean stitching on the lapels and pockets to ensure they stay sharp for years.

“We design for real life. A beautiful garment that you’re afraid to wear is not a success.”

These small, intentional choices are what separate a good garment from a great one.

The UDAI Essential Blazer is the result of months of thoughtful design, sourcing, and refinement. It’s a testament to our belief that fast fashion can still be good fashion—designed with intention, crafted with care, and made to be a beloved part of your wardrobe for years to come.
